Born and raised in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, Kai's artistic journey sprang from a rich cultural tapestry woven by his French-Tunisian father and Mexican-American mother. From his diverse heritage emerged a profound appreciation for the fusion of traditions, inspiring his artistic expression.

At the tender age of 14, Kai unearthed his passion for creation, using the streets of LA as his sprawling canvas. With an innate ability to weave compelling stories through his art, he adopted a distinctive style marked by single-frame narratives and a beloved character known as the Imaginary Friend (IF). Cement became his medium of choice, the tool through which he etched powerful messages and universal themes.

Fueled by his innate talent and thirst for knowledge, Kai pursued his artistic education at the prestigious California Institute of Arts, later refining his craft at L'Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. These formative years cultivated not just his skill but his vision, allowing him to evolve into an international street artist of profound relevance.

Kai's commitment to giving life to “IF” has traversed borders, captivating audiences globally. His work has become a beacon of social commentary, earning him widespread acclaim and a dedicated following. From cultural events to renowned galleries, Kai's collections have graced esteemed platforms, illuminating the profound resonance of his unique artistic voice across the world stage.

Kai’s practice is characterized by its fluid use of multiple mediums, techniques, and scales. The works available from our online store include:

• You Come First (Holographic) a 13-colour, hand-printed serigraph with deckled edges, portraying a tender gesture of solidarity and friendship for rainy-day moments (also available in black and white).
• Hamster Wheel (Grace) is a sculptural edition cast in bronze, concrete and stainless steel reflecting on the relentless pace of modern working life and the culture of hyper-productivity.
• Mending Love (Main) a delicate restoration of a broken heart; an act of repair, care, and renewal.
• Our World (Gold Leaf) is a large-scale, hand-printed serigraph that maps the many ways we might care for, and give back to, our planet.
• Finally, perhaps one of Kai’s most iconic recent work Love Me Love Me Not II, a sculpture made in 316 L stainless steel and synthetic crystal is a direct reference to the timeless ritual of plucking a flower's petals one by one in search of an answer to that age-old question: does my special someone love me, or love me not?
