KAI at Le Touquet 2027
From Wall Reliefs to Monumental Presence
Musée du Touquet-Paris-Plage and locations throughout Le Touquet, France

In summer 2027, KAI returns to Le Touquet-Paris-Plage for a solo exhibition at the Musée du Touquet, accompanied by a public art trail across the town. Marking ten years since his first project in Le Touquet, the exhibition traces the evolution of his practice from the fourteen relief plaques installed in 2017 to painting, sculpture, public installation and monumental works.
A Return Ten Years in the Making
KAI’s relationship with Le Touquet began in 2017, when fourteen different relief plaques were installed throughout the town. Some have since disappeared, but the memory of the project has remained. In 2027, the artist returns for the next chapter of that story, bringing his work into the Musée du Touquet while extending the experience into the streets and public spaces of the town.
From Line to Monument
Conceived as a journey through KAI’s creative universe, the museum exhibition will bring together works on paper, paintings, cement works, bronze sculptures, public installations and monumental projects. It will reveal how a simple line can become an object, an environment and, ultimately, a public monument.
The proposed curatorial route explores five chapters in the artist’s practice: his urban origins, love and the choices that shape our lives, relationships between generations, our responsibility toward nature, and the materials and processes of the studio. Throughout the exhibition, love remains the central thread, understood as connection, vulnerability, protection and transmission.
