About Us | Markowicz Fine Art
A Gallery Built on Long-Term Relationships
Founded in 2010 by Bernard Markowicz, following a decade of experience with Opera Gallery, Markowicz Fine Art is an international contemporary art gallery with locations in Miami and at the Laguna Design Center in Laguna Niguel, California. The gallery has developed a program emphasizing enduring connections with artists, collectors, museums, designers, developers and cultural institutions.
The gallery's role extends beyond presenting and selling artwork. The team identifies distinctive artistic voices, supports their growth over time, and creates meaningful opportunities through exhibitions, strategic placements, institutional projects and international collector networks.

Artist Representation and Our Collaboration with KAI
The primary-market program features established and emerging artists working across painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media. Notable represented artists include KAI, Carole A. Feuerman, Annalù, Eva Armisén and Beau Simmons, alongside artists such as Idan Zareski and Ron Agam.
At the heart of the gallery's history is our long-standing relationship with KAI. Bernard Markowicz is now integrated into KAI's studio, focusing on major collector relationships, museum projects and public art placements.

Primary and Secondary Market Expertise
A dedicated Secondary Market Department, directed by Sébastien Laboureau, editor-in-chief of Banksy Explained, advises collectors on acquisitions, resales, private sourcing, market analysis, provenance and condition review, as well as the strategic development of their collections.
The department provides access to carefully selected works by significant modern, postwar and contemporary artists, including Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselmann and Fernando Botero. This complements the primary-market program, accompanying collectors throughout their collecting journey, from a first acquisition to the refinement or resale of an established collection.

Art Advisory and Placements
The team collaborates with private collectors, corporations, architects, interior designers, hospitality groups and public institutions on individual acquisitions, complete collections, residential and commercial projects, and large-scale public art placements.
At Markowicz Fine Art, art is not simply acquired. It is discovered, understood, placed and shared.
