KAI’s Perfect Hug Welcomes Visitors to COTALAND in Austin
A permanent 15-foot sculpture at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas
At the entrance to COTALAND, a monumental embrace greets visitors arriving at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin. KAI’s Perfect Hug, a 15-foot sculpture, welcomes guests as they enter the park and meets them again as they leave.
The work grew from a simple, unexpected moment of connection. KAI transformed the feeling of that embrace into a permanent public sculpture, giving a fleeting human gesture a lasting presence. During its development, a physical model helped the artist refine details that could not be fully understood on screen.
Installed at one of Austin’s newest destinations, Perfect Hug invites visitors to pause, come together and carry that feeling beyond the park. The sculpture joins KAI’s growing body of monumental public works.
