Carole A. Feuerman

Shower

Carole Feuerman’s Shower works turn one of the most private gestures of daily life into an image of suspended time. A swimmer or bather emerges from water, eyes closed, hands lifting or gathering a towel as droplets remain on the skin. Across three-dimensional sculptures and the Shower Portrait editions, Feuerman shifts between tactile realism and graphic surface, using resin, paint, silkscreen and diamond dust to preserve the same inward pause. This collection brings together Shower works that reveal how closely her art links water, self-possession and the quiet drama of a body returning to stillness.
