Richard Orlinski

Born Wild Crocodile

Born Wild is both the origin point and the central idea of Richard Orlinski’s practice. Introduced through the crocodile that launched his public career in 2004, the concept asks how instinct can be acknowledged, shaped and redirected rather than denied. In these works, the animal’s open jaws and low armored body retain their primitive charge, while color, polish and urban tags bring that force into the present.
