24 Hours is the name Alain Godon now gives to the series long known as Bildo Reliefo — a term that belongs to its history. Since his exhibition at the Musée départemental Matisse, he has declined each of these unique works by colour: twenty-four variations of the background, one for every hour of the day, so that a single composition passes from dawn to night. The works carry his painted worlds into relief and colour, on formats from around 30 to 60 cm. Collectors who knew them as Bildo Reliefo will find the same world here under its new name.
