Exhibited Artist
Alain Godon
French, 1964

Alain Godon's creative journey embarked from the streets of Bourges, France, in 1964. A pivotal shift led him across the English Channel to the United Kingdom in 1986, where pavement artistry fueled his livelihood. Yet, an artistic metamorphosis beckoned him to explore a new frontier: "Childish Art." Delving into oil painting, Godon’s canvases birthed whimsical worlds, brimming with a childlike essence.
Simultaneously, his artistic repertoire expanded to embrace bronze sculpting. Through this medium, Godon articulated his worldview—a fusion of childish wonder and distinctive humor. The allure of multidimensionality beckoned, and in 2022, Godon pioneered QT (“Cutie”), a technique weaving layers of cut paper into captivating three-dimensional artworks.
Godon's artistic odyssey transcended borders, gracing exhibitions in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Aspen, Denver, Amsterdam, Bali, and notably, the 2001 French National Assembly. Markowicz Fine Art stands as the exclusive conduit for Godon's artistry in the United States, amplifying his whimsy and innovation across American shores.
