Idan Zareski

La Nena

La Nena is the young girl of Idan Zareski's big-footed family, and she carries its idea unchanged: the outsized feet speak of a shared past and of our attachment to the same small world. The collection covers the widest range in the family, from a 33 cm piece to a 220 cm standing sculpture, worked in bronze, resin and fibreglass. Colour does much of the work — purple, violet, black, mandarin — giving one silhouette a very different presence from one cast to the next.
