Founded by painter Arnaud Antremont, Color Maker, based in Sainte-Pazanne (Loire-Atlantique), brings to life the work of artists such as sculptor Michel Bassompierre and Leo et Steph, who are a worldwide hit with their Kid Cup character.
It was a busy day at the Color Maker workshop in Sainte-Pazanne, where Leo and Steph were on hand to authenticate the latest delivery of Kid Cup, bound for Taiwan. It's a round-faced character with no face, a cap screwed on his head, sipping a drink through a straw, the other hand in his pocket.
This urban figurine was designed by Leo, an artist inspired by the world of art toys, top-of-the-range toys for adults. It's a big hit in Asia and the United States, but remains unknown in France. Kid Cups can be seen in a few galleries in Paris and Saint-Tropez. "The clientele is fairly well-to-do, including major brands, jet-setters, showbiz celebrities and sports stars such as Antoine Dupont and Céline Dion," says Steph.
