The ‘Gathering Supercars 2025’, described as one of the largest supercar gatherings in the world, is taking place this weekend in the Douro and Vila Real regions, with many exclusive models taking part in trips that will run from 25 to 27 April. Another attraction this year will be the tribute to Ayrton Senna.
The Douro region and, more specifically, Vila Real, will host another edition of ‘Gathering Supercars’, a motoring event that promises to bring together dozens of supercars from various world manufacturers, such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and McLaren.
For the 2025 edition, the organisation has secured the presence of Tom Kristensen, also known as ‘Lord Le Mans’ thanks to his record number of victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but a special celebration of the 30th anniversary of Ayrton Senna's legacy is also guaranteed.
The artist and niece of the late driver, Lalalli Senna, who designed the largest residential building in the world, over 500 metres high, in Balneário Cambori, Brazil, will be present. There will also be an exhibition of the work ‘Our Senna Collection’, with Marc Poulain (head of ‘Advanced Design’ at Alpine and ex-Ferrari).
In addition, the organisation promises ‘several incredible motoring experiences (in the centre of Vila Real)’, a sculpture exhibition by French artist Antoine DuFilho and concerts by Calema and Toy. There will also be a charity aspect, as the ‘Gathering’ once again establishes a partnership with the Sara Carreira Association, in order to promote and publicise the work of this team that has been supporting young scholarship holders to achieve their dreams since 2021.
The concentration of the cars and the major logistical centre for this event will be Quinta da Pacheca, in Lamego, seconded by another Pacheca Group hotel, Quinta São José do Barrilário.
