Introducing “Double Take”
Sometimes you catch something you missed the first time—an image containing two things at once. It's that moment of pause, that shift in perception. I’m calling that feeling **Double Take**. — Kai

This piece explores the tension between two overlapping realities: what we perceive consciously, and what lies hidden just beneath the surface. The subtle imprint of one image layered onto another invites you to linger and discover something new each time.

The layers are crafted using multiple transparencies—paint, print, and digital transfers—combining analog and digital processes. That layering is the key: it’s not about one message overcoming the other, but about them coexisting, revealing something you didn’t see initially.
I’d love for you to take a moment and give it a second look. Sometimes the most meaningful things aren't obvious at first glance. — Always,
Kai
