Diego Masi received the Third MEC Acquisition Prize for Emisor at Uruguay’s 55th National Visual Arts Prize exhibition.
The 55th National Visual Arts Prize exhibition presented selected and awarded works at the Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales. Diego Masi received the Tercer Premio Adquisición MEC for Emisor, his 2012 electromagnetic installation.
The award resulted in a museum collection reference that can be followed beyond the competition: Emisor is recorded in the MNAV holdings as inventory 4978. The exhibition, award and collection entry are connected facts, but remain different types of record.
