Nurturing (Cement) reflects Kaï’s ongoing focus on human connection, childhood, and the small gestures that bring light into a complex world. In this round cement and bronze composition, Kaï explores the idea of care and knowledge. The textured cement surface, layered with vibrant washes of orange, blue, yellow, and red, creates a raw, almost archaeological backdrop.
At the center, the figures enact a tender scene: the adult reads to the child nurturing the child's future. The contrast between the rough cement and the refined bronze highlights the tension between fragility and resilience, chaos and gentleness.
