There are moments so intimate, so fleeting, that they seem to vanish the instant we notice them. A bead of water lingering on the skin. A contemplative breath behind closed eyes. The serene aftermath of immersion. These are the moments Carole Feuerman does not let slip away. In her Shower Portraits, she does not just preserve these states, she elevates them, rendering them in exquisite, hyperreal detail on canvas. -
Kool Koor, "Lovertible"What begins as a table quickly turns into a question. Not a question of function, even though the Lovertible certainly functions, but a question of essence: is this a design object? A sculpture? A conceptual artwork? The two latest iterations of the Lovertible, one by Kool Koor, the other by Toxic, reignite this timeless debate between art and design, and remind us that perhaps the boundary is not a line at all, but a beautiful blur. -

Idan Zareski, "And So?", 2018In the long shadow of conflicts, where dialogue often breaks down and humanity is reduced to headlines, art emerges as a quiet but stubborn force for peace. It does not dictate outcomes, but what it does, more powerfully, is remind us of our shared vulnerability, our mirrored longings, and the absurdity of inherited hatred. In the works of Robert Indiana and Idan Zareski, we encounter two very different artistic languages, graphic symbolism and sculptural realism, both converging on one urgent, human message: peace begins with recognition.

Mel Ramos, "Tea at 5 PM", 2008Mel Ramos’ Tea at 5 PM
A Pop Art Toast to Mondrian and WesselmannIn the pantheon of Pop Art, Mel Ramos stands as a provocateur par excellence, blending high art with commercial iconography and a generous dash of humor. His 2008 work, Tea at 5 PM, exemplifies this synthesis, serving as both homage and parody, a visual cocktail shaken with references to Piet Mondrian and Tom Wesselmann. Indeed, this enamel-on-steel wall sculpture brings together a radiant nude, a Mondrian grid, and a Wesselmann cut steel drawing, all seated comfortably in Ramos’ ongoing conversation between eroticism, commercialism, and the canon of modern art. -

BANKSY AT LONDON ZOO: A CONCRETE JUNGLE SAFARI
BANKSY at his best surprised London with his usual wit and raw talent. All murals have been confirmed on BANKSY’s Instagram account.BANKSY recently unveiled a series of animal-themed murals in London, close to the zoo, between August 6th and August 13th, 2024. This surprise campaign involved nine distinct artworks, each addressing various themes involving animals, their captivity, and human interaction with nature. This "Concrete Jungle Safari" proves once again that, with just a stencil and a sprinkle of wit, this elusive artist can turn brick walls into global conversations.
