Kong Barrel Tag – Dallas Edition is a unique sculpture (1/1) created specifically for Richard Orlinski’s solo exhibition at MARKOWICZ FINE ART in Dallas in 2022. Conceived as a site-specific work, it directly reflects the artist’s strong connection to Texas and the American art scene.
Executed in resin and entirely hand-painted and tagged, the sculpture features a bold chromatic language dominated by blues, reds, and whites, combined with graphic elements referencing U.S. and Dallas iconography. The raised barrel reinforces the themes of power, confidence, and monumentality that define Orlinski’s Kong series, while anchoring this work in a precise geographical and historical context.
At 45 cm (17.6 inches) high, this compact format was intentionally developed for the Dallas show, offering collectors a highly exclusive artwork tied to a specific exhibition moment. Unlike standard editions, this piece was produced as a one-off, signed by the artist and never replicated.
Currently, the sculpture is on display at our partner gallery, Samuel Lynne Galleries, in Dallas, reinforcing its strong local provenance and visibility within the Texas collector community.
Kong Barrel Tag – Dallas Edition stands as both a collectible contemporary sculpture and a testimonial work, directly linked to Richard Orlinski’s solo exhibition history in the United States.
