Secondary Market & Private Art Advisory
Acquiring, selling and sourcing exceptional Post-War and Contemporary Art.
Markowicz Fine Art provides private advisory services for collectors, family offices and institutions seeking to acquire, sell and manage significant works of Post-War and Contemporary Art.
Our approach is collector-led rather than inventory-led. We take the time to understand each client’s taste, objectives and existing collection, then identify the most appropriate opportunities across the international art market.
Through a network of collectors, galleries, auction houses and other market professionals, we can source works beyond those publicly offered or immediately available through the gallery.
OUR ADVISORY SERVICES
Acquire & source
We identify artworks through our international network of collectors, galleries, dealers, auction houses and private market participants. Our role is not limited to works held in gallery inventory. We search for the right artwork for the collector, including privately held and discreetly available opportunities.
Sell & advise
We advise collectors considering the sale of an artwork or collection, whether through a private transaction, gallery placement or auction. Our role includes market positioning, valuation, sale strategy, negotiation and coordination with the appropriate counterparties.
Research & due diligence
Every significant acquisition requires careful examination. We review provenance, authenticity, condition, documentation, edition information and relevant market history, consulting appropriate specialists and artist authorities whenever necessary. Our objective is to provide clients with the information required to make informed decisions.
From transaction to installation
Our involvement can extend well beyond the transaction itself. Markowicz Fine Art can coordinate insurance, international shipping, customs, storage, conservation, framing and installation, providing collectors with a seamless service from acquisition through final placement.
INDEPENDENT, CLIENT-FIRST ADVICE
A meaningful collection is built over time.
The best decisions often result from patience, research and access rather than simply purchasing what happens to be available.
Whether evaluating an acquisition, considering a sale or deciding that the best decision is to do nothing, our priority is to represent the collector’s interests with discretion, rigor and care.
The objective is not simply to complete a transaction. It is to make the right one.
