Le vesti di Saturno, Umberto Mariani’s 2011 exhibition of lead draperies in Florence’s Palazzo Medici Riccardi.
In the Renaissance palace of the Medici in Florence, Mariani presented his folded lead works in 2011. The title, “Saturn’s garments”, evokes lead — the metal of Saturn in alchemy — and the drapery he shapes from it.
