The Twenty-Year War: Our Next Greatest Generation

Presented at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum in Columbus, Ohio, this exhibition brought together Beau Simmons' photographic portraits and the personal accounts gathered with Dan Blakeley and Tom Amenta. Through photography, video and audio, the project explored veterans' experiences of service and their lives beyond the military.
The project began as The Twenty-Year War, a book of photographic portraits and the personal accounts of 71 veterans, created by Beau Simmons with former U.S. Army Rangers Dan Blakeley and Tom Amenta and launched at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum in 2021.
