A museum group exhibition of recent acquisitions to Hawaii’s Art in Public Places Collection, including work by Tom Lieber.
Accession presented recent additions to the Art in Public Places Collection of the Hawai‘i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts at the state art museum in Honolulu. Running from February 2023 to February 2024, the group exhibition included work by Tom Lieber alongside other recent acquisitions from across the islands.
The state agency’s documentation identifies his oil painting Contact (2020), acquired from Abstraction×3 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. This museum presentation offers a recent institutional point of reference within Lieber’s continuing career.
