Ron Agam @ Carole Feuerman in Dialogue
August 17, 2025

At the heart of the booth stands Carole A. Feuerman’s breathtaking hyperrealist swimmer, captured in a moment of profound intimacy. Clad in a black swimsuit adorned with gold accents, the figure reclines with elegance and ease, her golden bathing cap gleaming under the lights. With eyes gently closed, she holds a seashell to her ear, not merely a gesture, but a quiet ritual: listening to the ocean, listening inward. The pose evokes both nostalgia and meditation, as if time has slowed just long enough for memory and sensation to merge.

Nearby, a smaller figure, perched gently on a pedestal, wears a crimson swimsuit, legs relaxed and head tilted in quiet reflection. Surrounding them, Ron Agam’s kinetic paintings provide an energetic counterpoint. Bursting with chromatic intensity, his works, featuring vibratory lines, op-art patterns, and concentric optical illusions, engage the eye in a dance of motion. A large vertical piece composed of hundreds of colored bands seems to breathe as you move. Another, in the shape of a luminous star, radiates joy and precision with a nearly architectural elegance.

The dialogue between Agam and Feuerman is unexpected yet perfectly fluid. Where Feuerman’s sculptures anchor the viewer in physical form and emotional realism, Agam’s pieces pull us into abstraction and perceptual play. One evokes the warmth of skin, the sun on a swimmer’s back; the other activates the senses through rhythm and light.

The Hamptons, with their rich art tradition and natural luminosity, provide the perfect setting for this visual dialogue. This presentation exemplifies Markowicz Fine Art’s curatorial vision: placing bold voices in conversation and allowing them to echo and expand. Together, Agam and Feuerman create an experience that is both meditative and electric. The booth itself becomes a microcosm of summer: bodies at rest, colors in motion, and a shimmering sense that beauty exists in both stillness and change. The Hamptons Fine Art Fair runs from July 10-13, bringing together top galleries and collectors from around the world. We invite you to experience this dynamic encounter between two visionary artists each one expanding the boundaries of what art can be.
