He says “I created ‘Tablets’ to send messages and thoughts to myself. Whatever personal feelings or thoughts I was having at the moment, I would etch into each tablet. This process plugged me into life and what was going on at the time. I imagine it has been a way of unlocking my mind, which is a very healing process for me. It takes us back to writing on stone, an ancient process, when people needed to pass their thoughts, ideas, and feelings on to others.”

His "Comic Strip" series serves as a nod to laughter, nostalgia, and political commentary. Crafting a fusion of vintage comics, texture, and paint, Ecke's art encapsulates the essence of storytelling, bridging the mythos of superheroes with contemporary societal dialogue.
