Anton Molnar

Hungarian, 1957

Anton Molnar was born in 1957, in Budapest, Hungary.

After primary school in Hungary and Africa (Bamako, Mali) Anton Molnar entered the Fine Arts secondary school in Budapest. In 1976 he passed his baccalaureate, specializing in painting. After that he worked in the museum of Budapest until he entered the Fine Art Academy of Budapest, Hungary, in 1979.

In 1983, he received his Painter’s Diploma as a qualified teacher of drawing, anatomy and art history. Anton Molnar stayed at the Academy until 1986 to take a master’s degree in fresco and mural art. From 1981 to 1986 his works were hungry in many exhibitions in Hungary and abroad, more especially in Paris. In 1988, he decided to settle in France with his family. In his works Anton Molnar wants to portray the atmosphere around him. He wants to find an artistic language that can translate his vision of the mingling of cultures and emotions. For him, painting is a way of living and a way to express himself and his vision.

Today, Anton Molnar lives and works in Paris, France.
